About Camp Frank S. Betz

Camp Frank S. Betz is a 57-acre preserve that has been in continuous service since 1922. Camp Betz sits on the shores of Lake Chapin and contains a variety of terrain and rugged topography. Camp Betz offers beautiful wooded campsites for tent camping. Flush toilets and showers are available. You must provide your own family tent and camping equipment. Healthy and kid-friendly meals are prepared in our kitchen and served cafeteria-style in our dining hall.

NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING (NYLT)
National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action-packed program designed for councils to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and other situations demanding leadership of self and others.

OKPIK – COLD WEATHER CAMPING
Made famous by Northern Tier, this program teaches Scouts and Scout leaders how to be comfortable and safe while camping in cold weather. This training enables Scout units to extend their camping season to a full 12-months!

WOOD BADGE
Wood Badge is the premier leadership training for adult leaders, combining lectures, discussions, and hands-on exercises. Participants will learn contemporary leadership skills and tools needed to provide the youth members of their units with the highest Scouting experience.
